Amy Rydell is an accomplished actress, dancer, and voice-over artist. Trained at The Juilliard School in Lincoln Center, Stella Adler Conservatory in Los Angeles, and with acting teachers/coaches Larry Moss and Arthur Mendoza, she has a strong foundation for her body of work.
Amy was born and raised in the film industry with guidance from father, Mark Rydell, Academy Award Nominated Director (On Golden Pond, The Rose, For the Boys, Intersection, etc.) and her mother, Joanne Linville, actress, teacher and founder of The Stella Adler Conservatory in Los Angeles (Hawaii Five-O, Gunsmoke, Star Trek, The Twilight Zone, etc.) They are both moderators and board members of The Actors Studio in Los Angeles.
A highlight of Amy’s career is starring in Star Trek Continues as the Romulan Commander, where she reprised her mother's iconic role in the original Star Trek series. She also co-starred with James Franco in the Emmy and Golden Globe-winning James Dean for TNT, in addition to working with Leonard DiCaprio in Steven Spielberg’s Oscar Nominated Catch Me if You Can, and alongside Mel Gibson and Sissy Spacek in the Academy Award-winning film The River. She has also appeared in several National commercials and voice-overs.
